Artist Bio
Brendan Martinez, also known as BISUN, is an artist from Kansas. He is of Mexican and Nigerian decent with disciplines in Graffiti, ink drawing, mural and acrylic painting. His work expresses struggle for internal and societal liberation. The BISUN
name refers to the sun shining on each land of his heritage. BISUN, also derives from the relation to the Buffalo (which is the state animal of Kansas and the 10th U.S. Calvary a.k.a Buffalo Soldiers originating in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas). His mantra is "Illuminate with the light of two suns."
Upon leaving Kansas in 2012, Brendan has displayed works and murals in Washington, D.C, Houston,TX, Phoenix, AZ and now New York City.
